Munay is the first chapter in the Ugaréz story.

Hand-crocheted in our atelier in Cusco, Peru, this oversized sweater explores the journey of learning to trust yourself again. The black reflects uncertainty, while the flowers symbolize growth and transformation. Bold Quechua words are hand-crocheted across the sweater, celebrating beauty, womanhood and self-worth.

The sweater's black foundation is crocheted by holding together one strand of baby alpaca and one finer strand of alpaca, creating additional structure and body while preserving softness. The sculptural flowers and crocheted lettering are handcrafted from baby alpaca.

Each sweater requires approximately 100 hours of hand crochet to complete and weighs approximately 1.5 kg (3.3 lb), making every piece a true expression of time, craftsmanship and intention.

If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at dianaugarez@gmail.com (or Instagram DM), and we will work with you to resolve the issue.
